A friend recommended this facility to me because she said they help people. I appreciated the hot breakfast, especially because I was hungry. The atmosphere was uncomfortable because the demeanor of the individual that appeared to be in charge was that of a drill sergeant shouting orders. Nobody asked me what I needed assistance with and I didn’t feel comfortable approaching the person in charge. The information I received was from another patron who said she uses the facility’s services a lot. I pray that this isn’t the way new or potential clients in need of help are always treated. I had heard good things about this place but I don’t think I would comfortable seeking help there on my own.

Glad they have a food kitchen that serves breakfast and gives out clothes in the inner city. But they should serve more variety/ portions because sometimes that's a person only meal, and let ppl pick out they own clothes!

My experience with this organization has been amazing! The workers go above and behind to make you feel comfortable. No judgment. I cannot Express enough how amazing this place and the people who work there are! A true blessing to my 3daughters (&new grandson) if I could only find a decent job ... We'd already be in a house because Avenue of life is paying 1st month and deposit, but I don't want to get a place and loose it due to not working.. the time will come when it's time... If your family needs assistance contact them they are amazing!
